Ingleworld Release Party Recap(From a 20 year olds perspective).
Last night Skeme and Diamond Supply co. Threw a celebratory party in honor of Skemes upcoming Album “Ingleworld”. As soon as I got there(on time at 7:00) the line to get in started at the Diamond store and ended at Rosewood.
At around 7:30 Skeme’s brother comes out and calls for everyone under 21. All of us young cats gather around him as he tells us we’re not going to be able to attend due to the fact that alcohol was being served. But on the flip side of the that unfortunate situation he gave us all free Limited Edition IngleworldxDiamond Supply Co. T shirts.
People were still mad so proceeded to blow up Skemes twitter mentions to hopefully get in or at least get to meet Skeme. He tweeted one person and said wait 15 minutes. As soon as the DJ announced Skeme is in the building, he came right out front to meet all of his fans that couldn’t get in and signed their T shirts.
Although I wasn’t able to go inside the party you could see a lot of LA Hip Hop heavy hitters in the party from Anwar Carrots, Krondon, Niko G4, J Phresh and Dom Kennedy. If you was in LA last night and you’re over 21 then that was the place to be.
Much love to Diamond Supply co and Skeme for giving us non-drinkers a T-Shirt to go home with and thanks to Skeme for showing love to the Crenshaw Chronicles.
Ingleworld on iTunes tomorrow 12/17.
After the hype track “Youzza Flip”, Jay 305 gives us a new track to knock in the streets, “City Be Like”. The track is produced by Mike Free and you can listen to it here on the Crenshaw Chronicles.
Isaiah Rashad and SZA don’t disappoint with visuals for their track “Ronnie Drake”. Check it out on the Crenshaw Chronicles
